Meet Jennifer Reaume Natyshak.

General Manager, Reaume Chevrolet Buick GMC

LaSalle, ON

What inspired you to enter and pursue this field?

My inspiration to enter the automotive industry was that I wanted to be apart of a high pace and exciting industry. There was so much to learn about the vehicles, about the sales process and about how to deliver the best customer experience. Also, there were so few women in the dealership at the time that I started my career and I couldn’t understand why that was. We need both men and women! We have different strengths, we have a different energy and we have different passions. When we work together and collaborate with the common goal to serve, we are better together. I am proud to say that we currently have 15 females team members throughout all departments in the dealership.

How did you come to be in this position?

I learned every position in the dealership on the sales side. From receptionist to sales coordinator, financial service manager to marketing manager and Sales Manager to General Manager. I am inspired to be the best that I can be in any position. I am always excited to take on new challenges and I love change. Although at times change can be uncomfortable, I know that it is an opportunity to grow. Being the only female in the boardroom is not always easy, but the more I learn to stay true to myself the easier it is.

What advice would you give young women looking to enter your current line of work?

The advice I would give young women looking to enter the automotive industry is to follow your passion! For me, my decision to dive into automotive was not because I am passionate about cars and trucks…it was because I am passionate about people! I feel fulfilled every day when I can be of service to my team and to our clients.

Shine your light! Stay true to who you are in whatever career path you follow. Believe in yourself so fully so that there is no need to search for external validation. Lead with Love ❤️
